The purpose of this survey is to determine best practices from among the Nation’s law enforcement agencies involved in Fusion initiatives. The results from the survey will be made available to all participants in the hope that steps toward a unified approach to sharing necessary information between all agencies becomes the reality local law enforcement envisions.  

The role of law enforcement, especially at the local level, is no longer simply that of the ‘first responder’...the new breed of  law enforcement  must be include personnel who are capable of critical thinking, familiar with technology, competent as analysts, and involved in decision making processes...
